Title: Every Word You Didn't Say

Fandom: BSC

Pairings: canon pairings (Sam/Stacey, MA/Logan, etc), mentions of parent pairings, Charlie/Janine, Abby/Bart, and Sunny/Patrick

Rating: PG-13

Warnings: Yes, that pairing up there is Sunny Winslow and Patrick Thomas. They're all legal, and there's nothing graphic going on about it. This came about due to a conversation on the chatzy and is not really related to my babysitters100 stories (no prompts will be used on this).

Kristy

I am reopening the notebook, guys, because I have a problem. A Sunny problem. A Sunny and Patrick problem. They're dating. Or engaged. Or possibly even married.

Now, I know that some of you may have never written in the Baby Sitters Club notebook before [or for some time], but this is serious. I need everyone's help in figuring out how to deal with this.

Everyone, by the way, includes people who don't live in Stoneybrook, so I've decided to make the notebook a bit of a hybrid project. There will still be a traditional hard copy of the notebook available for those who choose to use it, but there will also be an online version of the notebook, so that we can all effectively communicate together. Everyone has to write in this. I mean it.

I thought that Sunny was my friend. And that Patrick was my dad.

Dawn

So, yeah, Sunny's Patrick? The one she told Dad and Carol was only like 25 or something? He's Kristy's father. Her real father, so I guess it's not as gross as if she was having a crush on Watson, but it's still pretty disgusting. First of all, Sunny is only 19. Patrick? He's in his 40s. I know-totally gross.

I'm really disappointed in her. She knew that he was Kristy's dad. She knew that he was too old for her. She knew that everyone would find out eventually. And she still did it! She lied to Mom and Richard about who her boyfriend was and about why she wanted to come up for our graduation and all the parties. She brought him over here and tried to get me and Mary Anne to hang out with them-fortunately Mary Anne and I had already made plans with Logan and Lewis. (for old times' sake)

Mom and Richard are pissed. Mary Anne is in tears. I am trying to ignore the fact that my supposed best friend is still screwing up. It isn't working. I'm so sorry, Kristy.

Mary Anne

What exactly are you hoping to obtain with this project, Kristy? Do you want answers? A reason? Are you using this to obtain closure? I highly doubt that Patrick and Sunny are going to let your feelings (and those of everyone else) ruin their relationship. Obviously they have little regard for morals. Or common sense. Or people's feelings. We all know this.

However, since you seem to be serious about this (I highly doubt that Mom and Dad will be able to contribute greatly to your endeavor, though they did appreciate the explanation of the BSC notebook!) I am of course willing to help. I suppose it's better for you to throw yourself into a project rather than wallow in self pity.

Claudia

I'm using the computer because it is easier for me to spell correctly on it, Kristy. I can't believe the nerve of your father and of Dawn's best friend. Are things really that different in California? I didn't think so, but I''m note so sure. It was weird seeing them together. I thot that Mom and Dad were going to freak! Like things weren't already awkward enough with Patrick and Elizabeth being at the same stuff and everything. (They don't get along at all-and this was before we all knew that Sunny and Patrick were gonna get married.) It was weird.

We all graduated from high school and Sunni (who is still in high school, I think-I don't really know) told us all that she had a big announcement too make. We were all at a reception that was at Shannon and Kristy's families' country club-it was relay high class-and I noticed that all of Dawn's parents (her mom and dad don't hate each other like Kristy's do) looked, well, like my parents' do when they'd get letters from SHS.

They made the announcement and it was like-I don't know what it was like, but it was a disaster. Dad and Mom tried to do some damage control. Kristy started to to yell at Sunni, and she was joined by Jack and Sharon (I hope I'm spelling everyone's names rite.) and everything got weird. Relay weird.

Sharon

I really don't know why you want Jack and I to write in this 'notebook' of yours, Kristy, since I already told Elizabeth what I know about Sunshine's relationship with your father, but I suppose humoring you and writing it on paper is the least I can do. I didn't know that Sunshine's boyfriend was your father, I honestly didn't. I knew that his name was Patrick and that he wrote for the Palo City paper. I knew that he was older than her and that he'd been married. I know that I have never been so disappointed in Sunshine Daydream (there's something I bet you didn't know about her, Kristy, use that for whatever you want) Winslow in my entire life.

I guess I feel guilty about this, even though I know it really isn't my fault. Have you tried asking people in California? I really am sorry, honey. I hope that this helps you.

Stacey

I thought that having my parents and Samantha in the same room for a weekend of festivities would be bad enough, but, well, no one, not even New York sophisticated Stacey McGill, could have predicted the events that took place last night. Kristy, I am so sorry. I don't understand why Sam is still speaking to him! And as for Sunny...it's just gross...

Mom and Dad were in agreement about how inappropriate their relationship is, so I guess Sunny and Patrick managed to obtain the miracle of getting my parents to agree on something, but at what cost? I'm just so sorry, Kristy.

Really, I am.

Do you need anything to cheer you up? I could get you Cam Geary Sings Again! (I already got it for Mary Anne.)

Karen

Wow! I'm finally allowed to write in one of the BSC notebooks! This is so cool! I know that I shouldn't be so happy about it, given the circumstances, which I don't understand, but I still am. I think that it's cool that Sunny and Kristy's real dad are going to get married. Daddy told me that it isn't because Sunny is only nineteen and that she's friends with Kristy and all of her friends, but I don't understand why that's a problem.

Doesn't Kristy want to be friends with her stepmother? I don't really get it. Oh well. Elizabeth is very angry with Patrick. Is that because she wishes he'd date one of her friends instead? Aunt Marjorie is single! Perhaps he could date her and then he'd be Kristy's step-uncle and father!

Boo and bullfrogs. I'm not the only non BSC member to be allowed to write in here. I thought I was special!

...I can't wait to tell Hannie and Nancy!
