Sweet Valley:
"A Lesson Learned in Time": Was going to be ended on the Christmas events that are taking place in story, but I am starting to think I will end it a couple chapters earlier. It is up to Chapter 112, and there is a sequel planned. Currently Steven and Billie are trying to figure out what to do with Elizabeth and Todd, who have a rather unhappy daughter who isn't unaware of the tensions between her parents; and on Christmas a fight is going to happen between Steven and Jessica's husband, Chas, that has been brewing for awhile. The sequel will start right where this story ends.
"Life Goes On": Is still in progress, though I have stalled working on it because Todd/Jessica and Liz/Bruce are not pairings I enjoy working on (or with). However I can tell you that Cara's actions are coming back to haunt her, and Jessica finds solace in the arms of one of her ex-husbands.
"Something About This Place" and "Three Seconds to Say 'I Love You'": are currently on hold.
The ELR fanfic is probably never going to be updated.
BSC:
Sharon/Richard one shots are going to continue, currently I am working on one from their high school days, and Dawn and the School Spirit War has helped me out with that a bit, due to a name for an SHS enemy of Richard and Sharon's.
I am also working on a few storylines involving Sunny, and the Palo City gang.
There is a multi-part CONNECTED R/S story that I am working on that I will publicly link to once fandom_stocking reveals are up.
Are there any BSC books that feature Richard/Sharon heavily?
The Sweet Life...or How Francine Pascal Continues to Trample All Over My Childhood
The SV forum pointed out that the new SV ebooks are available for pre-order, and I had to cringe. I, like most SV fans, had eagerly awaited the novel "Sweet Valley Confidential" for years. Sure, I'd been writing SV fanfic since the website There's Something About SV Senior Year was still up, but there was something special about actually going to a bookstore and purchasing a brand new SV book. Though this had occurred a few times with SVSY books (and I hated that series) and of course the BSC and LS books (including some squeeing over "The Truth About Stacey" graphic novel when that was released), Sweet Valley Confidential was going to be the best book ever! Francine promised that it would draw from SVH canon, and though I had read all of the serieses, and even as a child in my stories could tie them together, I understood. As the days wound down, I could hardly wait.
And then there was an article in my mother's copy of Entertainment Weekly. A dreadful article, that trampled my desire for my pre-ordered SVC hardcover. An article that told spoilers-awful spoilers. I could hardly believe her. Elizabeth Wakefield with Bruce Patman? But he'd nearly raped her in Dear Sister and he was supposed to marry Lila Fowler, for heaven's sake! Everyone knew that! And why on earth was Todd dating Jessica? He and Liz were supposed to be together forever and besides they are identical twins, and that's just gross! But worst of all, and I am not homophobic, was the news that Steven Wakefield, one of my literary crushes from his SVK days, was gay. And dating Aaron Dallas. Despite the fact that he was so clearly straight. And had been half of my two favorite SV couples: Steven/Cara and my OTP Steven/Billie.
I cringed. I read the book. I cringed some more.
You would think that the awful reviews, across the board, mind you, would stop Franny (as we on the board refer to her) from writing a new SV series. But it hasn't. And I cannot bring myself to read it. Or even purchase it.
SVK was the first SV series I read, around the time I was reading LS and even BSC, and that started my love for the series.
I read SVT and SVJH at the same time-the library had them both, and I was reading them at the same time as I read BSC.
My older cousin gave me a copy of Family Secrets at a rather young age, and I was reading SVH during the tail end of elementary school, though of course I understood none of the more complexities of the storylines.
I did read most of the SVSY series, though I didn't like it enough to own it.
The SVU series was my favorite, and I had hoped that the relationships from there would have been in SVC.
Even the Elizabeth series was better!
So, no, SV community, I will not be ordering the Sweet Life series.
At least The Summer Before was a decent book.

Sweet Valley University Fanfiction
No More Broken Promises: (Billie Winkler/Steven Wakefield, Elizabeth Wakefield/Todd Wilkins/Tom Watts, Lila Fowler/Bruce Patman, Jessica Wakefield/?, Mike McAllery/?) Billie and Steven find themselves expecting twins; Elizabeth decides to "live life on the wild side"; Jessica and Mike find themselves living together again; and Alice Wakefield has another nervous breakdown. Canon through the first half of SVU 19; ignores Sweet Valley Confidential.
Told in alternating points of view from Steven, Billie, Mike, Elizabeth, and Jessica. This story has been completed. There is a sequel up that I should work more on in the coming year.
Three Seconds to Say "I Love You": (Billie Winkler/Steven Wakefield, Elizabeth Wakefield/Todd Wilkins/Tom Watts, Lila Fowler/Bruce Patman, Jessica Wakefield/Mike McAllery, Alice Wakefield/Hank Patman, Ned Wakefield/Marianna West)
Second in the No More Broken Promises series. Set two years on from the events of NMBP, this story details the "Wedding of the Century" (so dubbed by the Sweet Valley Times) of Alice and Hank; Elizabeth's misadventures across the pond; more adventures with Audrey and Grace; Jessica continues to be a successful clothing designer; and much more.
Something About This Place: (Billie/Steven Wakefield, Elizabeth Wakefield/Max Pennington, Elizabeth Wakefield/Tom Watts, Lila Fowler/Bruce Patman, Alice/Ned Wakefield, Kelly Bates/Todd Wilkins)
...It says home is where your heart is, but what a shame, cause everyone's heart doesn't beat the same...
Jessica Wakefield has gotten Elizabeth Wakefield to return to Sweet Valley, California, from London, England.
The twins are best friends again-but things are not the same in the idyllic, picturesque town of Sweet Valley.
Elizabeth finds that her parents are furious with her. She thought they'd be happy!
Todd Wilkins is still working at Frankie's-and has abandoned all career plans-along with any hope of a future with Liz.
Steven Wakefield and Billie have plans to enjoy their lives as newlyweds...and his middle sister's return might give them a new roommate.
...and Kelly Bates has arrived in town in a cloud of mystery...and quickly wears out her welcome.

Sweet Valley Confidential: A Lesson Learned In Time (Billie Winkler/Steven Wakefield, Elizabeth Wakefield/Todd Wilkins/Max Pennington, Val Tripler/Mike McAllery, Jessica Wakefied/Chas Bresinski, Alice Wakefield/Ned Wakefield/Marianna West/Hank Patman) Things are no longer picture perfect in the lives of the Wakefields. Elizabeth has run away-again. Jessica has found love in an oblivious (yet quite irritating) Chas Bresinski-after her second divorce. Billie and Steven struggle to maintain normality for their daughter and nieces-with another child on the way. Meanwhile, the Wakefields have involved themselves in an obnoxious "love quadrangle" and Billie's kid sister has come to town-all in time for chaos to reign supreme in time for the twins' five year high school reunion.
Told in alternate points of view.
Alternate Universe Based on Sweet Valley Confidential Fanfiction
Sweet Valley Confidential: Life Goes On (brief!Steven Wakefield/Aaron Dallas; mentioned!Mike McAllery/Billie Winkler; mentioned!Steven Wakefield/Cara Walker; Steven Wakefield/Billie Winkler; Jessica Wakefield/Todd Wilkins; Jessica Wakefield/any other guy; Elizabeth Wakefield/Bruce Patman; Cara Walker/Mike McAllery; Alice Wakefield/Ned Wakefield) Was it really meant to last? Relationships dissolve when Steven Wakefield meets Billie Winkler whilst working at the Wakefield-West Law Firm; Jessica returns to her usual self; and Elizabeth insists on embracing her inner martyr. Alice develops the suspicion that her youngest child is the direct cause of all of the chaos-and constant interruption of her cleaning-and attempts to navigate the news that her son's marriage only got destroyed because of a drunken kiss; that her "good" daughter is involved with her now dead ex-fiance's son; that Jessica is causing more trouble than she's worth; and that Steven has moved in with a woman who seems even more damaged than him! Add in Cara dating Jessica's first ex-husband and Steven's new girlfriend's more recent ex, Aaron refusing to take a glaring hint; the appearance of one Lila Fowler and her long gone older cousins and suddenly Sweet Valley has more drama than a soap opera! (Is it any wonder Alice has yet again taken to cleaning at 2 am?!)
