I have been struggling with writer's block for a prolonged period of time, so when I saw the comment posted on one of my Sweet Valley High fics ( luxken27 's gift fic that I really need to continue, to be specific) proudly proclaiming that the commenter had a really good story prompt and would I consider writing it, I made the error of asking what the prompt was.

I should have known better. I do know better. And yet the following actually surprised me. I guess I am just used to the well written prompts on stoneybrook and other such sites. 


I had hopes that the prompts would be workable, at least. However...

I actually had several ideas, both similar to the other

1} One of the BSC members get obsessed with Taylor Swift and it interferes with their baby-sitting jobs. Kristy and the rest of the members try to stop this obsession

2) Jessica and her friends becomes obsessed with Britney Spears, driving Elizabeth crazy. When she finds out they have plans to sneak into Britney's hotel room after their concert, Elizabeth tries to put a stop to it.

3} Mary-Anne and Logan are playing Romeo and Juliet in the school play and Cokie Mason isn't happy about this one bit. The rest of the BSC overhear her plans of ruining that for Mary-Anne so she can have the part and they try to stop her.

And I think I have another one or two but I can't remember what they were

Trying to get some quality writing time in now.

#3 is kinda sorta remotely workable, but the other two make me wonder why this person is obsessed with obsession o.O I'd definitely steer clear, LOL.

I'm sorry to hear you're having writer's block :( I know that feeling all too well. I actually thought of you earlier today when I opened one of my PBS swaps and found that it was SVU #18, Billie's Secret =)

I agree with your assessment of #3, however shall I mention that this person was commenting on Lies, which is that AU SVH for want-of-a-nail fic that I am writing post A Night to Remember? It's an odd place to comment those things, which is why I held out hope at the original post that they had genuine ideas lol.

My writer's block is getting somewhat better. I do have an Everybody Loves Raymond story that I am continuing to work on and I think I am newly inspired to work on Lies, despite such interesting prompts. Aw that's sweet thank you for thinking of me. I am trying to get back into writing and fandom. I was actually thinking of writing something for Ozqueen's established Charlie/Mary Anne prompt.
