Dear Yuletide Writer!
I cannot wait to see what my gift looks like on December 25th. I have been participating in Yuletide off and on for the past decade and am excited to partake in the festivities again this year.
I am open to gifts and have the option for extra gifts enabled on my profile.
The following are some general Likes and Dislikes:
I look for the following in my fanworks: covert and overt affection; causal touching; slice of life; curtain fic; alternative universes; first times; friends to lovers; kissing and other displays of affection; the sharing an [insert sleeping space here] trope; sexual tension; strong friendships; third person POV; x number of things plus one; what could have been; missing scenes; hurt/comfort; angst; coming to understandings; families of choice; rescuing; pregnancy/kid fic; musical numbers; genderswap; romance; gen; light comedy; porn with or without plot.
I DO NOT WANT the following in my fanworks: a/b/o • animal cruelty/injury/death • body fluids/scat • body swap • character death unless otherwise stated • characters under 16 in sexual situations (please age up) • deaging • first person pov • genderbending/always another sex • gore • graphic description of injury • homophobia/themes of homophobia • humiliation/embarrassment kinks • love triangles • parody • race discussion or themes of racism • sounding • violence that is more than canon-typical • non-con • mentions of COVID
The Baby-Sitters Club (TV 2020) [Claudia Kishi, Mary Anne Spier, Dawn Schafer, Kristy Thomas]

The Baby-Sitters Club (TV 2020) [Claudia Kishi, Mary Anne Spier, Dawn Schafer, Kristy Thomas]
I really loved the friendships and worldbuilding that took place in the show. I was so sad to hear that it got canceled. I think they could have done at least one more season. I am open to - but do not expect - the inclusion of other characters from the TV show or characters from book series that did not make it into the show. Please feel free to write the characters at whatever age you feel suits them best.
I am 100% fine with platonic friendships (they are the best friends you'll ever have after all) but I do ship Claudia/Dawn, Claudia/Mary Anne, Dawn/Kristy, Kristy/Mary Anne if you wanted to go a romantic route. Here are a few suggested prompts:
The Baby-Sitters Club (books) [Charlie Thomas, Claudia Kishi, Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, Janine Kishi, Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Maureen McGill, Richard Spier, Stacey McGill]
Cheers [Diane Chambers, Sam Malone, Lilith Sternin]
Here are a few suggested prompts:
British Royalty RPF [Sandy (corgi), Muick (corgi)]
Father Ted [Ted Crilly, Dougal McGuire]

- We all know that canonically it is Mary Anne who Dawn encounters on her first day - what happens if everything else goes as canon and it is Claudia or Kristy whom she befriends? How does this change things?
- The four [+/- whomever if you so choose] get to go on a super-special style vacation. Where do they go? What do they do?
- People drift apart throughout the years, even people who claim to be friends forever. Who is still friends with whom? Who isn't? How do they reconnect?
- BSC but set in California so Mary Anne is the one who moves to town with her parental unit? Claudia, Kristy, and Dawn are natives? How does this change things?
The Baby-Sitters Club (books) [Charlie Thomas, Claudia Kishi, Elizabeth Thomas-Brewer, Janine Kishi, Kristy Thomas, Mary Anne Spier, Maureen McGill, Richard Spier, Stacey McGill]
NOTE: I do NOT expect or require to have all these characters included in the story produced.
I read the BSC books back in the 1990s and am canon current on the series. I would typically want a story to be set in the original time period that the books were set in, but I have come to the conclusion that (as long as it is a natural change IE not the way that the reprints after the summer before 'updated' the series) I am content to read where you feel it is best set. For the BSC, writing in first person is fine since that is what the books are written in. I have read California Diaries, Friends Forever, LS and CIMCC, and The Summer Before so do not shy away from any inclusions that you desire. Here are a few suggested prompts:

- The BSC has an event and the adults decided to chaperone. (Is it a BSC related event or something like a school dance? You decide). What occurs when the entire group is together? The girls are all friends, but how do their parents get along?
- BSC slumber party (set at any age).
- Someone is getting married and everyone is invited.
If you are interested in romantic pairings I enjoy reading: Charlie/Mary Anne (please over age 18 in MAs case), Charlie/Janine, Elizabeth/Richard, Elizabeth/Maureen, Maureen/Richard, Claudia/Stacey, Mary Anne/Stacey, Kristy/Mary Anne - or surprise me (just no incest or BSC member/parent). I am also interested in canon pairings not listed here.
Here are a few suggested prompts:
- I am completely open to a Frasier/Cheers crossover set in either Boston or Seattle with any characters interacting with each other.
- AU where Diane stays and therefore she encounters Lilith at the bar. How does Lilith view Sam/Diane and of course the connection with Diane and Frasier? Vice versa, how do Sam and Diane view Lilith (with or w/o Frasier)?
- Fraiser obviously is deeply affected by Diane leaving him at the altar, so what happens when Lilith realises that the bartender's wife/gf/whatever is the woman who has been a part of Fraiser's psyche since she ran off on him? What does she do? Does she find out how they met?
British Royalty RPF [Sandy (corgi), Muick (corgi)]
Fandom Specific DNW: No Duke of York bashing - he doesn't need to be included but I don't want that in my fic. Thank you in advance.
Note: You can allude to the existence of HMS Bubble and existence of lockdowns etc but I would prefer to not have COVID be a main focus of the story. I understand that Sandy and Muick were given to the Queen during that time period (after Philip died) so some limited acknowledgement is fine. OR you can AU it away and the York family simply bought the Queen the corgis to comfort her after the loss of Philip. Please also note that though I am aware that the corgis were dutifully by HMTLQ's side upon her passing my DNW involving character death does still apply. You can acknowledge that the Queen has indeed passed but I do not want a story set at her deathbed.
Here are a few suggested prompts:- We know that the Queen pampered her corgis, they were often referred to as her favourite children. What was life at the palace like for Sandy and Muick? I'd be interested in palace life from the POV of the dogs.
- From the photographs that the Duchess of York posted the other day, the corgis seem to have adjusted to their new home nicely. What's life in the Royal Lodge like for them?
- We heard that the Queen had corgi picnics during her last two summers at Balmoral. What did a corgi picnic consist of?
- Adjusting to new siblings is hard in the best of times but to go from being a sibling set of two to two of seven has to be rather difficult. How are Sandy and Muick faring with their Norfolk Terrier siblings?
Father Ted [Ted Crilly, Dougal McGuire]
Here are a few suggested prompts:
- Ted and Dougal are invited to a Priests' Conference...in Vegas.
- My Lovely Horse actually wins Eurovision.
- To Ted's shock (and confusion) Dougal manages to produce enough faith to promptly have his very first crisis of faith.
Feel free to include other SV characters, I have read SVC but do not want it included in canon.
Here are a few suggested prompts:
Here are a few suggested prompts:
- Jessica and Elizabeth are accepted to (and plan to attend) different colleges.
- When it becomes clear to the twins that Todd simply wants to share them both, they realise what a disappointment he is and band together to show him what they think of the idea.
- Role reversal: Liz the 'bad' twin, Jessica the 'good'.
